The above is the plot of the absolute values of the Adiabatic (black) and Actual (red) temperature gradients.
From it, one can see that |dT/dr|adb > |dT/dr|act. I now believe this to be correct, whereas before, I thought this was incorrect.

I think you should plot this graph from R=0 to R=1Rsun. That way you can see one gradient surpass the other (which should occur at R=0.7Rsun).
ReplyDeleteAlso, you might plot it without the absolute value, just as a check. I wonder if the red line is passing 0 at 0.725 Rsun...
